When Duke Leto Atreides is assassinated by the evil Baron Harkonnen, Duke Leto's son, Paul, and Paul's mother, the Lady Jessica, flee deep into the desert of Arrakis. There, they are befriended by the Fremen, natives of Arrakis. Under the influence of Melange, Paul learns he has special powers and, that he can see into the future. Paul unites the Freman under his leadership, forms an army of warriors, and leads them into battle against Baron Harkonnen and the corrupt Padishah Emperor, Shaddam IV, who is in league with the Harkonnens. I love sci-fi films and this one is no exception. It's entertaining, and also has some good moments. It's not a movie for everyone though. The main problem is the character's. The characters are annoying and have no depth. I could tell this was supposed to be the beginning of a trilogy, but it felt more like the middle. A lot of the time, the film is about the characters, which are supposed to be the heroes, but there are a lot of scenes where they are the ones who are useless. They have no depth, and they all have one big problem. I don't want to spoil it for you, but there is a scene where they are fighting and one of them has to take his helmet off to get a gun from the dead guy. It felt like they didn't even need to use it, they just added it. They should have just let the film stand on it's own. In fact, they should have killed it. The acting is decent, the special effects are good, and the directing is good. The effects are really, really good. If they could have used the effects to make the film stand on it's own, then they did a great job. The special effects are really good and the script is pretty good. The writing is good, and it's a good amount of character development. I was surprised that this movie didn't have more to do with the original novel. It's almost a sequel, but not quite. Overall, it's a good movie, but I would recommend you don't waste your money on it.

A company of escaped convicts are now running amok. Desperation on the part of the government is having a major effect on the local mining companies. All the while, the company is building a giant stadium to hide their base from the rest of the world. But when it comes to their base, it comes to an unexpected end. Many things about this movie are a bit overdone, but it still gets some good points. The scenery is pretty much the best part of the film. The scenes that have some kind of metaphysical or mystical meaning are some of the best parts of the movie. The characters are all great, though the leader of the group, Buck is really a bit over the top. But overall, the movie is an entertaining fantasy that's worth watching.

The science fiction portion of "Dune" doesn't rely on the whole concept of "the warp drive" (it's just that some of the energy needed to maintain a warp drive is also necessary to maintain a gravity field), and it doesn't rely on teleportation or warp travel (the technology is just plain old warp drive). It just relies on weapons systems that allow the ship to use warp drive, and that's it. The "warp" part is merely a means to an end (and is used sparingly). The tech behind it is very interesting, but the effect isn't as grandiose as it should be. All in all, it's a worthy effort, but ultimately it falls flat on its face.

I saw this movie on the back of the box. I thought, oh no, it's another one of those dune movies. I was wrong. It's a good movie, definitely better than a lot of those Hollywood/Euro/European action movies, which nowadays don't seem to be as good as they used to be. I've seen this movie on my LION VIDEO. I thought it was OK, but not great. I'm a fan of the Star Wars and Star Trek movies, and this one just didn't compare. The story and action was good, though, but some of the characters seemed very weak. Like the old man. He was very good, but a bit weak. That's the only character I don't like. The actors, if you can call them that, were good. Not the best I've ever seen, but good. The sound effects were pretty good. I recommend this movie, it's definitely a good one, if you have a chance to see it. It's one of the better dune movies. It is better than the first one, but not that good. If you liked the first one, you'll like this one. I give it a 7/10.

I recently watched the movie "Dune", which was based on the novel of Frank Herbert. I must say that this is a great movie. It is full of action, great CGI effects, great characters, great music and a very good story. However, what I liked the most was that the movie does not have a standard story. It's not a typical science fiction movie. It has a really good story. And it also has a good acting. In my opinion, it was a great movie. I definitely recommend it to anyone who is interested in science fiction movies. 7 out of 10.

With the recent revival of interest in this movie, I decided to give it a shot. I can't say I am one of the people who have seen this movie in its entirety, but I have seen the original on TV many times. I have seen the films on video twice. I have seen the VHS on DVD twice. I have seen the print on the TV once. So I did have some kind of sense of what the movie was like, and I was curious to see it again. I wanted to find out if I could enjoy the movie as I did the first time around. To my surprise, I found it to be quite a refreshing change. It was still a Sci-Fi/action movie, but it was a good change of pace. I enjoyed the story. I liked the way they went about it. I really enjoyed the actors playing their roles. I liked how they made a conscious effort to not tell you the ending until the very end. This is a very good thing. I found it a good movie, with good production values. I didn't have a problem with the acting, but I did have a problem with the direction. I thought the direction was a little heavy handed. It didn't go about showing the characters with any depth. In other words, the direction was just a little too aggressive. It made the story and the characters feel too forced. I also found the "dune" thing to be a little confusing. I mean, what exactly is that? I would not call this a bad movie, but I think it could have been a lot better. I also think that a good portion of the cast could have been eliminated. For example, the two central characters in the film were Tom Cruise and Kurt Russell. Both of these characters are central to the plot and the main focus of the film, and both of them were very well-developed. Kurt Russell was one of the best actors around, and he was a great addition to the story. However, his role was under-developed. It didn't really give him much to do, but he still gave a good performance. Tom Cruise did not do that much, but he still gave a great performance. There were a couple other characters that could have been cut. For example, I don't remember the point of the "Dune" woman. She was kind of annoying. I also didn't care about the new character of R. Lee Ermey. He didn't do anything in the film. He just sits in the background and talks about dune. The two central characters were still good, but the story did not have a lot of depth to it. Overall, I liked this movie. It was different. I like it. I would say that it was better than "Dune." I have seen it three times, and I enjoyed it every time. However, I would recommend you wait for the DVD to come out before seeing this movie. This movie could have been much better than it was. 7/10

Perhaps the biggest surprise of this film was not in the world of science fiction, but in that of the film's director, Ridley Scott. Since we have been following the evolution of the film's story, it was not a shock to me when we learned that he had written the story, as well as directing the film. What I did not expect was that he would also be the one to bring the story to a close, which he did in the first fifteen minutes of the film. The film's story is a combination of "2001" and "War of the Worlds," which is not a bad thing. If you haven't seen those films, then you will have no idea what is happening. We see a future Earth that is ruled by a corporation called "The People." We see a group of people in a bar who want to stop the People. The bar is ruled by a man called "The Master" who tells the bar owner that he has to be stopped. But the bar owner isn't a person who is too good to be true. I can't really say much more about this film without revealing too much. The performances are quite good and the special effects are quite nice. I hope that this film becomes a cult classic, as I have seen many others. My rating: 7/10

To be completely honest, I never really liked Star Wars, but I loved the original movie. I saw the first one on a rainy day and I was just blown away by it. I could watch the whole movie without any problem. The plot of this movie was very interesting and the acting was really good. I have always loved John Williams. I really like the music. I think it is the best soundtrack for this movie. The second part of the movie was very interesting. It started to be interesting. Then it just got boring. Then it was about as boring as watching TV for an hour and a half. The action sequences were good. The acting was great. The music was great. I would not say that it was the best movie ever made, but it was certainly worth watching. I don't really like sequels, but I thought this one was great. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes sci-fi movies. The second part of the movie was great. 7/10.

This is a movie that I thought was going to be really boring. But it turned out to be really entertaining. It was very well done. I thought it was very well made and the effects were amazing. I would recommend this movie to anyone who likes Sci-Fi movies.
