What you see is what you get. "Uninvited" is a long way from "Forbidden Island" and even more from the Land of Oz. But it also goes a lot farther than those movies did. The director, Peter Hyams, doesn't treat his audience like an audience: He gives them the edge of their seats and shows them, on one hand, what happened to the main character, and on the other hand, what will happen if he doesn't do his homework and doesn't keep his people alive. The story is long but it's beautifully told, the characters are charming and fully realized, and the special effects are gorgeous. The story is told in the same way that one would read an Agatha Christie mystery: with hints and twists. By the time you realize that this will be an adaptation of "The Maltese Falcon," you've already lost some of the intensity of the plot. And while the movie does suffer from a few minor faults (one of them is that we don't get to know the characters as well as the book), it's still an entertaining and entertaining ride. You won't be disappointed if you enjoy movies based on true stories. I can only hope that this movie will continue to enjoy itself and stay true to its theme and become a modern classic in the world of screen adaptations. I know that the story of the "Uninvited" may not be as pure as the story of "The Maltese Falcon," but "Uninvited" is a worthy addition to the genre.

At a late-night ride on a freeway, a truck driver named Graham (Jeremy Kemp) is kidnapped and brutally murdered. While searching for Graham's killer, he meets Denise (Melanie Griffith), a writer of science fiction stories. Afterward, they become friends and stay at a hotel owned by Al (Joseph Ruben), a former construction company employee who is the best man at Denise's wedding. As time goes by, Al helps Graham and Denise to find the killer and prevent future tragedies. Fantasy Island is a 1988 thriller, comedy and drama film directed by Francis Ford Coppola. The film stars Melanie Griffith, Joseph Ruben, Jeremy Kemp, Telly Savalas, Leslie Hope, and Richard Dreyfuss. Based on the 1970s series of "Dungeons & Dragons" novels by science fiction author Robert E. Howard, the film stars Griffith, Kemp, Savalas, Robert Joy, and Dreyfuss. Fantasy Island is a good story about friendship, loneliness, and a fight for survival. My score: 7.7/10. American Movie Classics (AMC) has the film rated PG-13 for violence, sexuality, and drug use. Fantasy Island was nominated for three Academy Awards (R, TV Movie of the Week, and Best Film) in 1988, and won the Razzie Award for Best Special Effects in a Motion Picture. It is an excellent film, and I recommend it for anyone who enjoys a good adventure film.

Toby C. Johnson (Michael Cera) is a very anxious 14-year old boy who is very good with computers. So much that he can change the history of the world. Now, that all is done, he decides to move to his parents' house in the remote West Virginia mountains. His mother (Sherilyn Fenn) has a new job and wants to open a video store. His father (Nick Jonas) wants him to go to college and work in the family business. Toby gets a lot of attention and friends. Everyone wants to meet him and tell him all about their life. Then his mother's new boyfriend comes by and invites him to a party. They try to impress the young man with these things but Toby ends up upset that he had to put on a costume in front of his best friend. After that, things start to change for Toby. Then he finds out that his dad is a very small-town historian. Then his mother's new boyfriend finds him, inviting him to his house. Toby goes along with everything but gets very unhappy at the party. Then he meets an old man (John C. Reilly) who does not believe Toby when he tells him that it's his grandfather. Then Toby is surrounded by witches, ghosts, goblins and demons. Then Toby finds out that he is going to be raised by some hippie family. Then he learns that his new best friend, her boyfriend and everyone he knows are all going to turn out to be his grandparents. The events will show that Toby has some sort of special power. I like this movie because of the beginning, the music, the ending and the way it was presented. The actors are pretty good and I also like how the story is presented. I also think that this is a better movie than a lot of others I've seen recently.

This is a terrific movie, fun, and just plain fun. If you have kids (yes, I'm 24), this is a good way to spend your time. If you're in your early 40's and have kids that are the age you like, give it a watch. It's one of those movies that you can watch with your family and still like. I watched it with a 13-year old girl, who loved it. If you have children (as I do), give this a try.

The story of "The Island" is quite interesting but I felt it dragged on and on. I started to lose interest after the beginning when the gangster fell into the water and the boater wrote his name. When the master suddenly died and the birds died in terror, I could barely watch. So many parts were unnecessary and took up time that could have been better used. Overall, the movie is good but definitely not a good film by Hollywood standards. It is a nice amount of suspense and leaves you wanting more. I can't believe there was not more attention to detail to the characters, the music, the acting, etc.

This movie is a really good remake of another interesting film which was also released in 2002 called The Missing Princess (New Line Cinema/Palo Alto). The remake has a great cast and story but the plot is a bit lacking. It is about a boy who discovers the island he lives on is actually a prison where magic can be had and a knight from the future and he will save them. They have to stop the evil queen and all the magical creatures. The original was a film that was played in theaters in the early 80's and it is in my opinion one of the best movies ever made. It is good for a "late night" action type movie that also has a good plot and wonderful acting. I would recommend this film to anyone who likes a good romantic adventure flick and a good remake.

I wanted to watch this movie for my third birthday the day it came out. I am just really sad that I didn't go to see it. It was really good. Maybe there wasn't enough money in the budget to make it big. I just want to say that it was a good movie. It had some pretty good looking actors like Jason Isaacs and Kirsten Dunst and they had the right amount of screen time. Even if you haven't seen a movie in a long time you can still enjoy this. The only bad thing about it is that it took so long to get into. It might be worth watching on cable though.

There are some scenes that seem to be true to life, and they are the ones I found most satisfying. At the same time, these things don't go well with the movie. Many of the scenes and scenes seemed a bit contrived. A lot of the acting seemed a bit contrived, as well as the background of the characters. The soundtrack was not very well done. It didn't have any real impact. However, there were some parts that I thought really worked well. My favorite part of the movie was the part when he was in the tower. I thought the setting in the tower was very fitting, and the music worked well with it. I also liked the part in the ruined church, and the chase through the forest. Those were the ones I thought really worked well. My two other favorite parts of the movie were the chase through the forest and the short chase of the girls. That was the one I thought was the most effective. Those scenes really fit well with the overall atmosphere of the movie. If you want to see a movie that has some real scares and action, this is the movie to see.

If I was to make a list of the best things about these films, it would be that they had in common. They were a lot of fun and offered a good variety of scares. For those of you not that fond of horror films, think again. This is not the kind of film you would watch for that reason. This film is fun, spooky and fast paced. It is a good film to watch with your wife, your best friends or any other movie night that will be hanging out for some mindless fun. I rate it a 7/10.

This film is one of the better alien movies out there. The premise is clever, the special effects are okay, and the acting is pretty good. The biggest problem I have with this film is how, in the end, the U.N. tries to exterminate the aliens by taking all their food, but they seem to be able to wipe out the last alien. That doesn't make any sense. After all, the only other place they have found any alien life is in the forest. Not to mention that they let an alien woman into a forest, and she is only about a foot tall. There are some other weird stuff with the film too, but other than that, it's good. I recommend it to anyone who loves sci-fi.

A precursor to the "The Mysterious Island" series, Fantasy Island begins in an expedition of 4 adults and 4 children in the mid 1800s. There's no explanation for why the group spends their time in the tropics, but their canoe gets broken and they need to get there by land. The mystery is soon solved by a fearsome looking volcano. From there the adventure is mostly set in a bamboo forest with terrible flying vines that seem to hold the ocean and the jungle. The village is located in a huge cliff where vines float out in the jungle. As they trek through the jungle, they find a small shrine. A female with a long hair napping in the tree, who is sleeping next to a rock with no sign of anyone else. She is very pleasant to look at, and is her own kind. They discover an ominous cave in the jungle and a mystical statue carved in a black clay. They go deeper into the cave and are drawn to a mirror that depicts themselves in a state of mental and physical confusion. "A beautiful mirror?" "I just took a mirror of my own." and "It's our only hope." There is a strange connection between them and the statue. The last scene depicts a terrible snake, and they set off on another adventure to find the source of this snake's evil. This is a classic adventure film in the genre. It has good dialogue and excellent effects. My copy is a 35mm print of the "White Sands". The director and editor of this film have a tremendous eye for the form and the images they show. There is a lot of great work in this film, including great practical effects and artistic cinematography. The musicians contribute fantastic soundtracks to the film, and the soundtrack is great. It's not an entirely original film, it's an adaptation of an earlier film from the same era. But there are some beautiful images throughout the film. The early scenes in the jungle are magnificent and very intriguing, as they show the power of the jungle and the terrible effects of the terrible water, vines, and flying vines. The actors are superb and really show their characters. Of course, this film is a little dated. We don't see nearly enough of the contemporary jungle jungle, the problem with which this film is addressing is the large amounts of jungle around the world. Most of the jungle is now covered with farms, or simply very few people still live in tropical forests. In that sense, Fantasy Island's message is to keep moving to the New World and see what's happening there. The climactic shot in the film is impressive, and the image of the doomed adventurers is chilling. While not a perfect film, it's still a great film.

For my money, the film was entertaining enough and had a good ending, although it was a bit weak. the star of the film was the songs from the band, which added to the film's animation in a positive way. The film had many great twists and a few out of the left wing groups that refused to turn out. This film was recommended by a lot of my friends. and I watched it with them and I think that it is definitely worth your time to watch. maybe even watch it with your friends!

A good time was had watching this film, I'm not much into horror films but it was well made and was not too scary. The acting was average and all the other actors were doing a good job, it just lacks in the story.

Definitely a disappointment but if you haven't seen the old Warchief of the Galaxy (2000) TV series you should do that first. The movie is more than the old one, there are some new and interesting elements added to the story. The good ones are the jungle location and the mysterious atmosphere that the story's main character Quicksilver has, and the re-emergence of the eye-like mala-plane (shades of Inception's Carousel).I'd say the movie's ratings may have more to do with the people who haven't seen the original one.
