Before I begin I must say that I don't really like movies about the aristocracy and I usually am not a fan of adaptations of novels but I was intrigued to see this movie and was pleasantly surprised. I was watching the movie last night and found myself at the end of it saying that I would have liked this movie better if I hadn't know that the movie was adapted from a book. But what I found was that there was an underlying message that was more important than the actual story, which I thought was really interesting. This movie I think is on par with "Oscar and Lucinda" in my opinion because it has a theme, that goes deeper than what you would expect, but also leaves the audience wondering what it all meant. The film focuses on the political undertones in a little village where the life of a Crawley family is completely different than the life of a rich family in London, and the tale of an aristocratic young man who gets caught in the middle. It is also interesting that the film is based on a novel, but it is not a Shakespearean play as some might think, but more of an Elizabethan play. So it is a good example of how a novel is adapted to film. I did find the first half of the film a bit slow, and it did seem like it was a bit on the long side, but I think this will be the last half of the film, it does have some really good parts to it. I would recommend this movie to anyone who has enjoyed a good adaptation of a book, and if you have enjoyed a good adaptation of a novel, then you might want to give this film a look.

To say this is one of my favourite films is an understatement. I'm not sure how I didn't have this film in my top ten before I watched it. It's simply a fantastic film. The acting is superb and the story is superb. What more could you want?

Although not up to the level of the previous two episodes of the series, this movie still is better than the first two. This film feels much more honest and realistic than most television movies. I thought it was interesting how in this movie the adult characters felt more human than in the other two. In many cases it feels as if they were trying to have some sort of adult relationship with one of their characters. A good thing about the movies is that there is no sex or violence. The movie also includes some science fiction elements. For example, the idea that the main character could be human in the same way as her parents is more realistic. This movie is not the best TV movie of all time, but it is a good movie that is worth watching.

I have to say I was really intrigued to see the movie. When I saw the trailer I thought it was going to be some kind of gay scandal thing. I was wrong, in the movie it was just a drama, and really kind of cute. It was a nice contrast between the sad and the happy times. The characters are really interesting, there was no one character who was really one dimensional. It wasn't really a great movie, but I thought it was really good. Overall, I think it was a good movie, with the good actors in the movie, and good direction. I recommend it.

I don't know why I've never seen this before, but I was drawn to this film because I was looking forward to it as a fan of "Downton Abbey". It's a very interesting film with a lot of emotion, but I think the emotional journey is a little too slow for me. I know the film is about grief and mourning and the end of a marriage, but I think it would have been better if the film was a little bit more dramatic and more intense. It's a good film though, and I'm glad I went to see it, because I think it's going to become one of my favorite films. It's the kind of film I watch over and over again, and it will be one of my favorite films of the year.

The film is by and large an adequate portrayal of the working class world of London. Many reviewers have claimed that they were shocked at the portrayal of the working class, I did not. I found it to be realistic. The lines, accents, and dress were accurate, which is more than can be said for the artful re-imagining of Paris in "Les Amants du Vieux Carre", in which many of the people speak in the manner of the French upper class and the French are described as "European". Some reviewers have also complained that the film was too "western". This has nothing to do with the film and was never a part of it. The French, of course, are much more European than "western". The more accurate portrayal of the French people and their customs would have been to have a French "peasant" style of dress, a cliche of the French aristocrat, and a much greater resemblance to the "working class" of the eighteenth century. However, the film was not meant to be "comedy" and the scenes showing the "dinner table" were comical in nature. The film has a very serious tone and the depiction of the working class is much more realistic than the portrayal of the Parisian middle class. The final scene in which the two lovers look into each other's eyes in the elevator was very well done. I felt that the lovers should have died rather than having their life reduced to a mere bed scene. However, this did not detract from the rest of the film. I felt that the best part of the film was the depiction of a female and male in love. The male was a young Englishman and the female was French, both in the romantic and "working class" worlds. However, this did not detract from the rest of the film, which is well done.

I loved this movie and I saw it at a screening. I was expecting a "B" movie. The acting was superb. The cast did a great job of portraying the characters. I'm sure there were scenes that were painful to watch. But that was part of the beauty of the movie. I also loved the fact that it was a very romantic movie. I loved the fact that it was about a character who was not "ladylike." The actor who played Lord Grantham was wonderful. I highly recommend this movie. It is a must see!

I was surprised to find out that the great British author John Irving had written a novel about Downton Abbey. I'm not sure if he had intended to write a novel about a fictional show, but the characters of the show and the setting of the show just seemed like a natural fit for him. I watched this film with the whole family and everyone loved it. I know it sounds like a little cliche, but I can't think of anything else to say. I can't think of any good reason not to watch this movie. I'm not going to spoil anything, but just watch this movie. It's worth it.
