This movie is in no way a complete thriller. It's a collection of short films loosely connected by a slow building sense of dread. The first scene, the discovery of a gas station in the middle of nowhere, is a masterful demonstration of suspense. The movie is a well-made exercise in suspense. I don't see any flaw in the story. The acting is mostly believable and the editing is slick. The production design is amazing, creating a feel of being on the outskirts of civilization. The cinematography is excellent, particularly the use of the wide angle lens to show detail in the background. The lighting, especially in the snow, is great, especially the juxtaposition of a white snow with the vastness of the landscape. The music is appropriate for the mood of the film, and the direction is very effective. It is a subtle, quietly compelling film. It has a very well-done and quiet pacing that keeps the viewer on the edge of his seat. As a drama, it's not particularly dramatic, but as a horror/thriller, it is one of the better examples of the genre. I haven't seen a lot of horror/thriller films, but this one stands out. The use of suspense works well. It is a very effective use of a dark and cold place, contrasted with a warm, inviting place. I give this movie a 10. The director deserves a lot of credit for keeping this movie at a slow pace, and the acting is very strong. Highly recommended.

I have been a fan of John Cusack's work for some time, and was eagerly looking forward to this movie. I have to say that I was a little disappointed. It seemed to lack the spontaneity of a good thrillers, and it was lacking in emotional intensity. But I think the movie is better than that. Cusack was great in the lead role, and I thought his character was interesting. We see the dark side of the cop who, for some reason, is an outsider. It is a wonderful performance. The other major players were very good. Clive Owen as the Detective, and Brendan Gleeson as the cop with the haunted past. The first third of the movie is a slow buildup, as the story unfolds. The rest of the movie is very moving, and that is a very difficult thing to do in a thriller. The ending is very good, and shows the slow but steady transformation of the Detective into a moral, and broken man. Very well done.

I think we need to do a better job on political correctness. There are films that deal with the subject of the death penalty, and one of those films is this film. I thought this was one of the best films that I have seen this year. It was a very sad and sensitive subject. It was a film that could have been realistic and realistic, but they made the film feel so real. The director managed to show all of the emotions that were conveyed. I felt so sad and upset, as I have never felt that way in a film before. I also felt so helpless. It's a very difficult subject to portray. The fact that this film was made in real life made it even more realistic. I thought the acting was excellent. I thought that the performances of the actors were exceptional. This was a great film that will appeal to everyone. It's a very powerful film that will show the human side of murder. The director managed to make it feel so real. This is a great film and I'm really looking forward to seeing it again. I thought it was really good. I also thought the ending was very touching and the acting was great. It was very touching and heartbreaking. I think the director has done a good job with this film. It's really good. I'm glad that I saw it.

This film, from its very beginning, is a completely believable and compelling story about a man who is haunted by something that's both horrific and sinister. After a series of events, in which his son is brutally murdered, he decides to seek out what exactly it was that took his son's life. As he searches for a motive, he finds out that the reason for his son's murder may not be the murderer, but that of another man. In fact, the main antagonist of the film, at first portrayed as a villain, actually turns out to be the most sympathetic character in the film. And it's that man that has been driving the film from the beginning. The story in itself, along with the plot twists, are what really drives this film. Other than that, this film has something in common with other horror films: it is one of the few that actually has something to say. The story in itself is nothing spectacular, but it does have that sort of spine-tingling quality that other films, such as The Ring or The Grudge, lack. This film is, without a doubt, one of the best examples of an independent film that stands out as a masterpiece. I'd recommend this film to anyone, but I would like to know how many people would go to see it. It's almost as if this film will become one of the best examples of horror film, but not for the reason that it deserves. I would really appreciate the opinion of anyone who would rate this film as high as I do.

I'm a huge fan of Norman Reedus. I'm also a huge fan of the Wire, and in my opinion this is in a class of its own. It's a fast-paced, tense, eerie and extremely violent drama that moves at a frenetic pace. The characters are incredibly well written and the acting is solid. This is one of those movies that you watch and make a point to watch it multiple times. There are some really fantastic scenes in this film, and I'll try to get the definitive ending to everyone's list.

This film is like a brilliant, delicately woven tapestry, woven with acting skills and story telling. It's like a beautifully orchestrated suite of colors, and it's a no-nonsense, unrelenting torrent of brutal, insightful scenes. Some reviewers (like myself) complained about the 'pacing' - so I guess they didn't get it. They might have been disappointed that it didn't flit to and fro like a paint-by-numbers romance, but it's an homage to what filmmakers do best - approach a story, and move the audience. I think that's the power of the film, that it doesn't cling to familiarity, but instead tries to go where no one has gone before. At least one reviewer in particular mentioned "glimpses" that aren't there. I think that's because the filmmakers knew that there were scenes that were actually very "out there", and they didn't want to go there. A lot of the critics who gave this a bad rap seem to have seen this movie through a "straight" lens - without understanding the depths of it's complexity. A good movie is one that moves me emotionally, and by this reviewer's own admission, I never once felt that with "Gone Girl" (despite its supposedly ending to me) I felt anything I saw. It's amazing how effective a film can be in affecting a viewer - and I hope it's an effective movie to you. "Gone Girl" was, in my humble opinion, the best film I've ever seen.

What a great movie this is. Great direction, camera work and editing. The shots are so well done and the story is so well told. This is not a typical thriller with blood and gore. It's a thriller without the gore. The story is told in a great way and with a great cast. A good film that really gets you thinking. Great acting, cinematography and great story. This is definitely one of my top 10 favorite films of all time. I wish this film was nominated for a few awards. You should definitely go see this movie, I guarantee you you will not be disappointed.

For all of you not into this kind of movie, if you are a straight, white male, you are more likely to like this movie than if you are gay or bi. I would recommend this movie to any viewer who enjoys intense drama, it is one of the best movies i have ever seen in my life. I would also recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys watching an old fashioned movie, this is a great film to show people in their 30's who like the romance movies.

This movie is definitely worth a watch. It is set during a tense period of the cold war, and follows the lives of five families. There are many twists and turns to this film, and what would you expect from a flick set during the Cold War? The acting in this movie is pretty good, and the story is really good. I really hope that more movies like this come out! It's definitely worth a watch.

I'm not the biggest of John Dahl fans but I had to say something about this one. I have the DVD with a no scene English commentary by the actors and they talk about everything that's happening in the film. Now this is NOT a Bond film, it's about the month of June, it's basically about the history of the group that came together in order to be with the one they loved. The group was captured by the bad guys and imprisoned in a warehouse. These guys tortured them and then murdered them. One of them was the girlfriend of the main character, a guy that went in after them. She was chained to the wall and the chains came off at the end. The other one was just put in there because the first one didn't die and she was the one that was captured. She was chained to the wall and they tortured her but in the end she didn't die. So the bad guys broke in and tortured them and the bad guys were just killed by the people that were behind them. Then they all said the last line in English. They all stood up and cheered. Then there was a cut to the credits and all was black except for one guy that says his name. The one guy who has been tortured. So he stood up and said "the main character of the film " too. The main character stands up and says "you all played a really big role" and then all the women in the group cheers and cheers. The two good guys were in the last scene so the film is basically a funeral for the first one. I recommend this film to everyone, it's well acted and very tense. I'm giving it an 8/10 because I like the movie so much.

This is a truly haunting and powerful movie. I loved it. I had to watch it a second time because it's just so moving. Some movies can leave you feeling depressed after you see them, but this one left me feeling good. I can't understand why people didn't like it. If you want to see a movie that will make you feel good, rent this one.

I'm not going to rip it apart, as many people have already done. I'm just going to tell you how much I love this movie. I love it because it's a unique and wonderful film. The visuals are really beautiful. The entire experience is so intense and exciting. And it's got a killer score. The characters are so unique and full of life. It's got a lot to say about the human condition. If I were a young writer, I'd want to write stories about this movie. I think anyone who sees this movie will love it. And if you aren't a fan of intelligent, fantastic, dark dramas, you will probably be shocked that it's even worth a few star reviews.

Outstanding? You bet! To really appreciate this film, you must watch it with the perspective of a mad man. If you like you may watch it again, but if you're easily startled and disturbed, you will probably want to see it in a different light. In one respect, this film seems to be a little too easy. (I don't want to give any spoilers.) What in the world is the point of all this? The film does not attempt to explain its characters. In fact, the most interesting and provocative part of the film is the way the audience is encouraged to learn about the criminals. The film does not tell you why any of them are mad, what their motives are, or how their crimes are related to each other. The film doesn't give any insight into the psychology of the criminals, so I have no idea what I would have done if I was in their shoes. But, if you are looking for a good psychological thrill ride, you will love this movie.

It was a decent film for a comedy. Although I did not understand the ending of the movie. It was a good movie though. I liked the concept. One thing that I would change about this movie would be how they would get out of the tunnel. I would rather have a truck instead of a helicopter to get out of the tunnel. Anyways, it was worth watching. The humor was great, so I suggest watching this movie.

I saw this movie with a friend of mine, who really enjoyed it. I was hoping for more of a "run-of-the-mill" kind of movie, but this one really seemed to have an edge to it, especially in the last half hour or so. The dialogue and acting are good, and there are several fine supporting characters. I thought that some of the characters seemed a bit unbelievable, but I must admit that I expected more of them from the storyline. The cinematography and scenery were good, and the sound was even better. The film looked very nice. I thought the acting was a little wooden and too "cheesy", but that is the only criticism I can think of. Overall, I really enjoyed this film. I would have liked it more if I had seen it when I was younger, but that's just a personal observation.

This film is a thriller. It is also a documentary about life in the Russian republic of Chechnya. In the west, we hear about these events as a small nation in a remote place in Russia. In the heart of the republic, there is a power struggle, which means that the rest of the world can't get a good view of what happens. In the middle of the struggle, a young photographer takes a picture of a Chechen girl, who dies by a bullet fired by a policeman, while she was walking with a friend in the middle of the street. It's a tragic moment. The image stays in the public consciousness, because the Chechen Republic has shown it so many times. But the photographer has decided to publish the picture anonymously. It's the most powerful image that we will ever see in the history of film. The film is a fine documentary. In the film, the director and the actor have chosen to focus on the various people in the republic, such as the people who are killed by the Chechen gangs, the Chechens, the police and the journalists. But this isn't a documentary. It's a movie. The director has chosen to tell the story in the visual language. It's a film that tells us the life in Chechnya in the 2000s. And it is a fascinating film. It is about how the Chechens are controlled, how they are beaten, and how they make money from the illegal activities. It is a film about the struggle of the peoples in the republic. It's a story that is going on now in the 21st century. I think that it is an important film.

From its first scene, "In a World" is an unforgettable cinematic experience. As soon as I saw it, I was hooked. I just loved the setting, the music, the story, and the acting. If you are a fan of cinema, or just like a film that will stick with you for a long time, watch "In a World".

It is a crime that it wasn't awarded more box office, because as far as i know this is the first movie to go straight to DVD, i wouldn't have even bothered buying it if it hadn't been for the rave reviews here. I'll start off by saying that the movie is very well made, the actors were great, the movie's editing was good, the story was gripping, and the scene was well paced. It is a shame that no one was impressed with the plot or the twists. I thought the ending was very poor, I thought it was very confusing and could have been avoided if it wasn't for the twist at the end. I won't lie to you, i hated the end and didn't like it. I think this movie should have been nominated for more than 1 award. I think if it was nominated for best picture it would have won, because the acting was so great, but no one really gave it a chance because they knew the plot was going to blow them away. I thought the ending was one of the best in the history of movies, but it still had it's flaws. I think this movie could have been much better if they would have made it more of a crime drama or drama-thriller, which it is much better than it actually was. I am really surprised that the movie was such a success, because I think it could have been much better.

I believe that Alien fans will love this film. It has elements from Alien, Aliens, and even Cloverfield, all of which are strong elements in their own right. That said, I personally thought that the movie was a bit different than the first three. I didn't quite think it was as good as the first three. The first one I liked, but this one I thought was better, in my opinion. The theme of this one is that of child abuse. It was much more intense and felt much more real. I felt that the child abuse scenes were much more intense than the ones in the first three, which made me feel more real. Overall, I thought this film was a lot more intense than the first three. I think that is because the abuse theme is much more intense in this one. There are more scenes of child abuse in this one, as well. Overall, I liked this film a lot more than the first three, but I will say that I think the second one was a bit better. I liked the second one a lot more than the first three, and I also think that the second one is better. Overall, I thought that this film was a great thriller, and I have to say that I liked this film a lot better than the second one, but I think that the second one was better.

An absolute hit in my book. I saw this at a festival and I thought it was fantastic. It was a perfect fit for the era of the 80's. It's about two people trying to make it in New York and in the process, see the world and love the process. It's a great film for anyone who likes 80's films and film in general. If you haven't seen it yet, go see it!
