Two aging fathers - one a King, one his courtier - reject the children who truly love them. Their blindness unleashes a tornado of pitiless ambition and treachery, and their worlds crumble. Tender, violent, moving, and shocking, King Lear is considered by many to be the greatest tragedy ever written. This will be an explosive, charged and contemporary retelling of Shakespeare's epic masterpiece in the intimate setting of the Minerva Theatre.

I went to see King Lear in London last week. I didn't know what to expect but I knew I wanted to see it. This is my first review so I guess I should have done more research before I went to see the film. I went in with the idea of wanting to see Shakespeare's greatest work, without preconceived notions about it. I also had a feeling that I would be disappointed, so I came in with a very open mind. What I got was a very good film. This film is an exact reflection of what Shakespeare would have written. The acting is superb. It is the perfect picture of Shakespeare. The editing is very good. The score is the perfect accompaniment to the film. The costumes, sets, costumes, costumes, sets, costumes, all the parts are perfect. The best part of the film is the music. The music is very catchy and brings the drama of the play to life. It fits perfectly into the film. The score is so perfect and makes the film a great experience. There are some parts that have a very strong effect on the audience. The final scene in the play is very powerful. It is one of the best scenes in the history of cinema. This is the best Shakespeare film ever. It is the one that will never be forgotten. It will be forever etched in the history of film. This is the greatest Shakespeare film ever and I am sure that the audience will be crying throughout the film. Everyone should go and see this film. I give it 10/10.

The film is a dramatic and personal experience, filled with symbolism and subtext. The songs are great. The actors are amazing. The music is perfect. The movie is about the struggle to be king. King Lear is the story of Lear who had a vision of his past life and managed to keep it hidden from his wife. He was ambitious and selfish and wanted to rule the kingdom for himself and for his mother and wife. He was the strongest king in England but he was not able to rule it, he was kept as a captive and kept in the Tower of London. The film begins when the story of King Lear is told. We see the frustration of the servant and Lear himself as he is kept in the Tower of London. He eventually falls into the hands of his friends. The servants are amazed at his speech and his actions. But Lear is losing his voice. He is beginning to die. His last words to his friend are: 'If you have any remaining courage, go and tell the King of England what I am doing, and I am going to do.' This scene tells us that Lear is dying. He has one last speech, which is great, because it is a great speech, and it is the last speech we have heard from him. It is a last message to his friends. He tells them that he is going to die, he has died, and that he has nothing left to live for. He is dying, and he is dying. I am going to die. That is what he says. That is the last word we hear from him. He is going to die. He dies and he dies. In the end, the servant tells Lear that he will never be king, and he will never rule England. Lear says: 'That is because I have already ruled.' Lear is dying. I have already ruled.' Lear dies and he dies.

The performances are great, the sets and costumes are fantastic, and the costumes for the first time were even better than for the first Hamlet film. The film is a blend of both Shakespeare and 'new' English-language movies and the result is outstanding. I had the pleasure of seeing it in a theater in a theater called The Mill that I have in Montclair, New Jersey, and people were taking their seats way before the first song. The first few minutes of the film were somewhat confusing, but they were quickly cleared up, and the music and the editing was superb. The most important aspect of the film for me was the actors, who, on their own, did not have much to do, but the actors in this film created a fabulous work. As much as I like the acting of everyone, especially Ewan McGregor, I have to say that Hugh Grant and Mia Wasikowska stole the show. They were both amazing, but I give special praise to Ewan McGregor, because he gave an incredible performance. He gave a performance that was so much more than I expected, and he deserved a Best Actor Oscar. It's a shame that the second half of the film is so rushed, because the first half was so great. All of the actors in this film have an enormous part in making this film one of the greatest films of the 1990s.

I have seen many of the reviews for this film and I think that the majority of them are going to be from people who haven't seen the film. The film is very good and there are some great scenes, but it is also very slow and dull at times. The acting is excellent and the direction is also excellent. The film is not for everyone and I think that most people who have seen it will be disappointed. It is not a masterpiece and it is not for everyone. But it is very good.

I had the pleasure of seeing this film for the first time, and I left the theatre feeling as if I had never seen a film before. I was truly moved by this film, and I want to share what I felt with others. The film is a story of a king who was mentally challenged, and was given the power of life or death over the people of the court. The king suffers from this in every way possible. He has a paranoid phobia of germs and has a fear of the water. His father and brother are constantly trying to get him to take a bath. He has an extreme fear of people and would rather remain in the shadows than reveal his true identity. At one point in the film, he even has a nervous breakdown, and is so afraid of being discovered that he does not even want his own kingdom to be known for it. He is portrayed as a human being, but no one is above him. He is a leader and he has a weakness, but he is the only one who can see the weakness and fix it. He is shown to be very strong, but still vulnerable. In the end, he is shown to be the most honorable and most powerful king in the history of the world. The film is absolutely incredible, and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes Shakespeare or film. It is a brilliant and wonderful piece of art, and it deserves every accolade that it has received.

I've read some of the reviews on here and I can't believe they are so negative. I think that the film is a masterpiece, and the acting is brilliant. The direction is excellent and the music is very good. I really enjoyed it. I'm a big fan of the stage version of King Lear, but I've always been a huge fan of the film version. It's a very well written and directed film. I think that it is a very underrated film. I'm glad that I saw it, and I would highly recommend it.

This is the most amazing and visually beautiful film I have ever seen. It is a work of art from the director of the magnificent Alhambra, Panavision. I saw the film in theatre and was blown away. The acting is impeccable, the scenes are beautiful and the soundtrack is great. It is an award winning film. This is the best Shakespeare ever filmed and I am so excited to see what King Lear will be like in the next two years. I hope they will keep the actors and crew of this masterpiece of film making. I believe this is the best film I have ever seen. It is better than the 2001 version of King Lear and The Tempest. Go see it. It is amazing.

The 2nd King Lear film of the period, this one quite an exceptional film. King Lear is the second film of the original Shakespearean trilogy of the 1960s, and I was very impressed. I have seen the original Shakespearean productions in London and the whole thing has been just amazing. So many of the details are right, the costumes are absolutely fabulous, the scenery and sets are just wonderful. The story is great, it's one of the best of all the Shakespeare productions and is very unique. The way the events of the film are shown is very impressive, and the scenes with King Lear, were the most original I have ever seen. The whole thing is just so very well thought and done. I really loved the music, it was really good, and the staging was just wonderful. I have just loved the whole thing and it's a must see for all. I think that I can tell you that this was one of the most beautiful films of the 1960s. I hope that the director will not make any of the next three films in the same style of King Lear. It is really very disappointing, the directors of the previous films did not do well, and now we have this new director who is the most inspired director of all. He has made a beautiful film. I can tell you that I will see this film again and I will definitely recommend it to anyone. If you have not seen this film, I recommend it to you. King Lear is a film of the most beautiful period of the Shakespeare series.

I had to watch this film a few times, it was so good and haunting. I have never seen such a perfect portrayal of Shakespeare's Hamlet. Every actor and actress in the movie was flawless. I even went out and bought the DVD, I had not seen it in years and it was a great investment. I cannot get enough of it. I have to watch it at least once a week, it's one of my favorite movies of all time.

The actor who plays Lear is a brilliant actor. His face is so expressive, so frightening. His eyes say a lot. In this film, he plays a great Lear and he is so calm and soft. I recommend this film for everyone.

This is truly one of the best films I have ever seen. I think that it is one of the best films ever made. This is definitely one of the best performances of all time, and I can't think of anyone who is more deserving of the title of "best actor" than Laurence Olivier, who deserves every bit of it. This is a masterpiece, and I cannot recommend it enough.

If you've never seen this play before, or you're not familiar with Shakespeare's original writings, then you might not have much hope of enjoying this performance, but if you've read the Shakespeare play or seen the previous production, then you'll be pleased with this play. If you are a fan of Shakespeare and have seen most of his plays, this is a great show. The production of the play is a masterpiece, and is a demonstration of the stagecraft of Shakespeare's writing. The directing is expert, the staging is masterful. The sets and costumes are impressive. The actors are wonderful. The performances are strong. You'll leave feeling the same way you did when you first saw this play, almost as if you had just seen it for the first time. But, if you haven't seen this play, then you'll be fine with this show. It's worth a watch. A must-see.

I thought it was very very well done. Everything was very very well done. I especially liked the accents. They were very well done. The director did a fantastic job of bringing the play to life, in a way that can not be done in a film. The sets were beautiful. And the actors did a wonderful job. I was very satisfied with the acting and the performance of the entire cast. I would recommend this film to anyone that likes Shakespeare and the English language. I found this to be the best adaptation of the play of all time. The only thing that I found slightly off was the English accent of the King Lear. But it is not important. It is not an issue in the story. And I think anyone that is a fan of Shakespeare should see this film. It is just a very good film. I thought it was an excellent film. It is one of the most beautifully made films I have ever seen. I really recommend this film to anyone who likes Shakespeare.

I was very impressed with this film. It was very well acted, the scenery was beautiful, and the music was simply brilliant. My only complaint was the lack of Shakespearean actors, who should have been featured more prominently. The cast was all excellent, including the leading male character, and his two female companions. The historical elements of the plot were just as good as any Shakespearean play, and the characters were all played to the best of their ability. In particular, the younger son, the king's chief minister, and the queen, played brilliantly. I had expected a lot from this film, and was very surprised at the quality of the acting and the direction. It was very rewarding to see how much better this film was than I had expected. I do not see how it could be a better film than "Titus", but it is a very good film.

This film was excellent, a real treat for Shakespearean lovers. I went with some friends who were also big fans of the play and I felt a bit apprehensive about seeing this film, but I had already seen the play at least a dozen times and I was pleasantly surprised. The staging was beautiful and each time we would switch to the new performances, so many of the scenes looked very natural, and I was sure that I would be able to see my favorite parts of the play. The cast was a great one. The actors did an excellent job portraying Shakespeare's most famous characters and the amount of detail that was put into the performances was impressive. I really enjoyed the way that the actors had taken the time to develop the characters. Although there were many changes, the actors remained very true to Shakespeare and I did not see a single actress change their voice, and they did a wonderful job of not changing the way that they spoke, even when they were speaking with the actors. The costumes were beautiful and they were very well designed for the scenes in the play, especially the costumes that were used in the last scenes. I was very impressed with the costumes in this film and I would recommend this film to anyone who has not yet seen the play. I would recommend this film to anyone who loves Shakespeare. I give this film a 10 out of 10.

This film is wonderful. The director has done an amazing job capturing the beauty of the first two acts of King Lear. He also has done an amazing job capturing the beauty of King Lear's portrayal of love, and the sorrow and suffering that comes from that love. I am a Shakespearean buff, and I have watched this film several times. The beautiful music is by the great composer Stephen Belber and the beautiful acting by Terence Rattigan, Edward Woodward, Michael Kamen, and Tom Courtenay. I recommend this film to anyone who loves Shakespeare and is a lover of the great drama that is King Lear. The film was shown on the BBC last week, and I plan to see it again this weekend. I have heard some people saying that it is too long, but the film was edited to remove any unnecessary scenes. I also watched the second and third acts and found them to be much more beautiful and poetic. I encourage everyone to see this film, especially if you are a Shakespearean buff. I highly recommend it.

I saw this movie a few months ago and it was quite interesting. I think that it's worth watching if you're interested in Shakespeare and the history of the English language. This movie is about Shakespeare's "King Lear" and how he adapted it for the stage. I have to say that this movie is not as good as some of the other Shakespeare adaptations. It's not a bad adaptation, but it's not as good as others. I think that the actors did a great job in this movie and it was quite interesting to see them play Shakespeare's plays. I think that the movie is a bit confusing and not as good as other Shakespeare adaptations. I think that it's worth seeing, but it's not a great movie. I give this movie a 7/10.

I was surprised that this was the first play to be filmed, given that Shakespeare was already dead. The film is a good adaptation, but not as good as the play. The film is a bit too long, and the acting is a bit stiff. I think that the best performance was by Anthony Hopkins, but he wasn't given much to work with. It's an OK film, but not as good as the play.
