Anu Malik is a veteran Hindi film director who, during the last two decades, seems to have been able to keep all his fans happy. Ritesh Menon is an expert in the language, and is really good in both Hindi and English. And it is a pity that, in this film, he makes only a very minor part. Madhuri Dixit, the beautiful beauty from Delhi, is the star of the show and does a brilliant job in the role of Muna. She has a very funny, feminine, sexy persona which seems to have been the basis for the entire film. Unfortunately, in the second half of the film, Menon (who has become a bit old for the role of the Punjabi bint) appears, so much to the effect of looking older than his age and so has a less stylish, brighter look, which is very boring for the viewers. The theme of the film, of being the inferior Indian is really strong and shows the fact that all Indians are not just the same but have their own history, culture and customs. If only such films were made like the final film, the ones released in the 80's in England, which were so very popular and also were not so complicated. A very important issue is not shown in this film, the history of India is very well shown, as well as the Muslim heritage, the character of the Bengali woman and the cruelty of the British. On the whole, a good film with a good idea, with a great cast and an interesting theme.

To all those who have been upset by this film, please see my review on Panorama. If you enjoy films with sub-contracted actors and sound quality not good enough to play on big screen, please see this film. For all the people who have been into "weiner" in the past, I hope you enjoy this film, too. It's about a man who tries to move on with his life and his marriage without any help from his wife. It's also about corruption, corruption and corruption in our system.

Bollywood tried to imitate the classic plot and first half of 'The Deer Hunter' and failed miserably. First half is extremely dull and boring. The scenes were good in the first half but after that, it seems as the same old story repeated itself. In the first half, the film portrays the role of brothers and father and how they have to rely on each other to survive. After that, the film goes back to the hunting story. The most amazing part of the film is the second half. We all know that the film had a great first half. The second half goes on a whole new adventure and we witness the brothers bonding and new love. Amitabh stands out as the brother and adds immense screen presence. In the second half, the whole story is revamped and we see a different part of the story. At the end, the film tells a lesson to the viewer. We are told how cruel, selfish, violent, corrupt and selfish people are and that they are very dangerous to society. The film is not in the least preachy and it gives the message to all people. The film is great fun and it deserves a watch. The direction, screenplay, cast, camera work, all are excellent. This is a must watch film for Bollywood and movie lovers.

I can't say i'm a good movie watcher but I was hoping this film would make my time watchable. It has quite a few good things and some bad things.First,it has a very good cast. All the acting is very good.Gautam Bali is a rare talent in Indian cinema. If you are looking for a movie where two different personalities clash, then it would not disappoint you.Aishwarya's screen presence is good.Kiran was good,Naseeruddin Shah is excellent. The rest of the cast is okay.Ranvir Shorey was alright.Naseeruddin Shah's performance was very good. The story was very good. The only thing that kept my attention was the music.I like songs and songs like 'Tas,Tab,tab, tab' and 'Akhsham'.All in all,This is a good movie for people who watch movies in cinema. It is worth your time and money.

The movie begins with a poetic song and then the movie goes on to its climax. No wonder how people were complaining of not following the plot of the movie. The movie is wonderful. However, the actress like Monet is really not good at all. The song sequences and the narration of the movie is very good. A great narration was put in the movie and the first 10 minutes of the movie is great. There is no doubt that the movie is good. However, if you are an art lover, you might not appreciate the movie. There is no doubt that it is a must watch. If you are not a love movie lover, you might not understand the reasons behind the movie. My Rating: 6.5/10

While the movie is a must watch for any Indian, who knows that it was made for us, to glorify our ancestors, it is a very boring watch. But it does highlight our values. I really appreciated the hero, heroines, old and new generations to have come out in support of the saffron party. And the movie is a Bollywood movie but it is something different from the typical Bollywood movies. The movie is quite strong and truly a must watch for everyone who wants to get their Indian heritage out in the open. The movie will motivate you to feel proud for your heritage.

I love this movie. As a passionate film lover, I have watched a few times, and I never get bored of it. The storyline is great, the music is great and the characters are all-around great. But some characters didn't seem to fit the other characters, and in the end, the characters that didn't fit the other characters felt more detached from the plot and did not have any "role in the story." I know there are things I did not like, and if the characters had more interesting personalities, I would like to see their roles. And then, what about the background music. I don't like the music, and I don't really like the music in this movie. It just seemed like an awkward "trailer" music, which was something I don't like at all. If the music was not awkward and music fit the story well, then I would give this a 10, but I didn't. And if it was an "open air" soundtrack, then I would give it a 10, but I didn't. All in all, a great movie, I recommend to watch.

Mumbai-born (and Mumbai-American) actor Akshay Kumar is perfectly cast in this independent film that charts the exploits of one of the subcontinent's most prolific writers, and ends on a sour note. It is never as "classic" as many critics make it out to be, but if you're not expecting too much (and it's easy to tell this by the fact that the posters for it look like very famous film posters), then it's a brilliant reminder that India has many more talented writers than you might think. And some of the acting is superb. Take the lead from Mahesh Babu, who I had a love/hate relationship with (in this film and a few others I saw in the past) but there's no denying that he is much more likable than anyone he's been in. He has that kind of acting talent that makes you care about every performance he makes. That in itself is impressive, but then there's the fact that he has a lot of fun with it. Like any other Indian, he is faced with a world where caste lines, skin color, caste and religion are not mentioned, or at least not much, but the juxtaposition of the two forces is what makes the film so much fun to watch. There are some strong messages here. One of them is how being from India and having lived in this country, that having stayed away for so long, can be a problem for Indian people in that when they leave, people tend to look to their roots. And this has a lot to do with the Indian film industry. I've seen "Saan" and the original version of it, and a lot of it I really liked. But this is an example of how well made the movie is. It is a decent movie with good acting, interesting characters, and a nice message about the changes in the country over the past fifty years. The film has its share of flaws. The pacing is sometimes a little slow, and the acting can be uneven at times, but for the most part it is well worth a watch. I haven't seen Akshay Kumar before, but he is very good here, and it's hard to imagine anybody else playing this part. He does have that talent and that charisma, which is what makes his performance work. The rest of the cast is great as well. Most of the supporting cast, from Sridevi to Rishi Kapoor to Farhan Akhtar, are all on point. I would have liked to have seen more of Ali Zafar in this role, but Akshay Kumar makes up for it. I'd even go as far as to say that for a film with an Akshay Kumar performance, it's good. This is one of those films where there are many talented actors, and Akshay Kumar makes up for all of them. I won't say much more, because I don't want to spoil anything. But if you like independent films, you'll probably find

This is one of the most entertaining Hindi movies I have ever watched. After the mega hit Kaante Babu, Nitin Mukesh delivers a full-fledged big budget blockbuster. While Kaante Babu has its own identity, i think Nitin Mukesh has offered something completely new. The first half of the movie was a little bit slow but the rest of the movie is full of entertainment. The story is fresh and there are many twists and the acting is superb. Amitabh Bachchan is the star of the show. Though he has acted in some good movies but it is evident that he has come of age and done an outstanding job. The film is a true mix of romance, politics and action. One of the strengths of the movie is the pace. The movie is slow paced but this is one of the things that makes the movie worth watching. There are some scenes which are meant for the mind to be stimulated but the audience needs to keep in mind that the movie is not aimed at them. Overall, I would say that this movie has many strengths. However, I think the story needed a little bit more work. The script is a little bit weak. Overall, I would say that this is a must watch movie.

I didn't like this movie because I expected a great drama and a lot of emotions, but what I got was a lot of emotions. A lot of emotions. The realisation that a big actor who appeared in the movie and had acted in it, for instance, Boman Irani, had to quit his job because of the brutality of the police, I cried and i would say that every single human being, in my humble opinion, will cry when they go through this nightmare. As it is said a history of this movie: It is based on a true story. It was made by some community that has a history and can show how hard it was for the actors to act. It was made in 2009 and it will be a very long time before an actor will appear again, that means it was worth every penny spent. I will recommend it to everyone who wants to watch a movie that will make them cry. And yes, I will say that it is very emotional, which is expected from a drama. I have also found that most of the people who watch it, have not watched it before. I believe that this movie would be highly effective on people who are not accustomed to watching movies that are not scripted.

I am a Bengali from the state of Himachal Pradesh and i saw this movie at the cinemas. I have read all the comments and i am quite surprised with the result. The film is very good and the story is much more inspiring than usual Hindi movies. I agree with other reviewers and agree that the actors performed very well. Overall this is a great movie. Please do watch it and let us know what you think.

Kishore Kumar's absence can be felt in the cinema in this movie. The movie should have been a big hit, but it just took a big dip, It has lots of film people/actors who should have been seen more, especially when movie becomes more than four star! Karan has been great in his performance and did not disappoint. Overall the movie is good but not something big, one can easily forget about the time of film

Let me start by saying I haven't read any of Vishal-Mizrahi's works. But my evaluation of his movies would be limited to the first few ones I have seen. And as most of the reviews on IMDb indicate, this movie has definitely not earned a single star. I feel the same could be said of the first half of the movie. It is also true that the second half is better. But the problem is the script. The script is almost as bad as the first half. The performances are bland. The direction is very basic. The entire cast seems to have made this movie on a whim. A lot of things seem a bit forced. Especially the music. A good music should not have been used for the first half. And certainly not for the second half. For the first half, I loved the music. But then I was reminded how awful it was during the second half. It is worse than the first half. But I am still holding out for a good second half. I guess the film is a bit of a letdown. I liked it very much in parts, but the second half made me very disappointed. It may not be a classic, but it was still an interesting movie. If you are a fan of Vishal-Mizrahi, I don't think you should watch this movie, but if you are just looking for some entertainment, you will probably enjoy it. I am not saying it is terrible, but it's not really a good movie either. Only if you are a fan of Vishal-Mizrahi, or you want to watch a great movie, you can watch this movie. I would suggest watching it on a slow movie night and see what you think.
